Christmas at Our House

Christmas was wonderful as always, Kory took off wed and thurs, so he was home most of the week, he built me some much anticipated/needed shelfs in our foood storage room. On Christmas Santa brought the wii (and as always TONS of candy) for our family to enjoy... Mom and Dad got Gage his DS, and just to be fair Broc got a Game Boy, Macy got a "my first doll house". The funnest part was we took the kids shopping to get each other gifts and that was fun to see how excited they got to have the presents opened from each other. the present I ordered for Kory never made it for Christmas, so it gets to be his Birthday, Christmas, Valentines present.... I ordered him a Garmin Rino before Thanksgiving and it is still on backorder, oh well he'll get it sometime. Kory got me some new earrings. After that we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Heslops to talk to Nick who is serving in New Zealand. From there we went to Grandma and Gramdpa Haroldsen and had a light lunch and opened some gifts. From there we went to Ryan and Ambers for our Grandpa Joe Christmas, and dinner. After that the day was done so we finally went home and got in bed(Macy efinatly needed it)!! Good thing the next day was Saturday so we could spend some time and recoup from Christmas right... No Saturday night Kory's family was coming to our house for their Christmas dinner/party. So Saturday was spent busily cleaning up the mess that was made the prior day, and setting up tables and chairs, cleaning bathrooms, washing dishes, etc. That night everyone came and had a good time, there was plenty of room and food for everyone, and the present exchange worked perfect in our basement! Sunday we were finally able to relax and enjoy our Christmas!

FAMILY

Thanksgiving was great! We had 35-40 Heslop family members come to our home on thanksgiving and we had a feast! Everyone fit great, we moved out the couches and put up tables, then after dinner those who could stay went down stairs and watched movies... But the best part was that while the adults were upstairs, the kids were downstairs playing so there was limited noise from them. Later in the day we left to go to Grandpa Joe's for our second Thanksgiving, had great food and watched another movie.

This week Kory and I, along with Mike and Tiffany, and some of our other friends will be going down to Las Vegas to go to the National Finals Rodeo, it is always a fun time and LOTS of shopping!!

We put up our Christmas tree, and all our other Christmas things yesterday and Macy is loving it!! She loves the lights on the tree, and LOVES to carry around baby Jesus from my nativity. I bought her and Broc the Little People Nativity set and they spend hours playing with it! So excited for Christmas this year... It makes it fun when all your kids are old enough to enjoy it, and still young enough to make it fun!

"LITTLE MISS WRANGLER"

We had a fun day yesterday, I decided to enter Macy into the Plain City 4th of July baby contest after a lot of deliberation, Amber had told me she entered little Hazel in it and so I decided to put Macy in too and they could have pictures together. So the contest was yesterday, There were about 15/16 little girls there and about the same amount of little boys that were there, well after about 5/10 minutes of the judges watching them, they handed out the prizes... Little Hazel won the title for the most active baby there, and then they called out the winners for overall, I was surprised when they called Macys number, She was the winner of the"Wrangler Round Up" baby contest"Little Miss Wrangler"!! She now gets to ride on a float in the parade saturday, and won a little stick horse and cowboy hat filled with toys and of course a a Pretty pink tiara!!! HOW LUCKY... And what a cute little girl ;) Will post more pics later!

More pics (and check out the giant beetle, next to Korys finger)

SWINE FLU??

Puerto Vallarta was a BLAST!! Wish we could still be there, now that we have been home and know things are ok here. WE did LOTS of swimming, relaxing, and sampling the local cuisine!! Mmmmm fajitas, quesadillas, nachos, and chips and salsa:)!! No one got "the swine flu"(in fact we are more worried about getting it here) and Macy survived the airplane, she had a little bit of a hard time on the flight home from P.V to L.A the last half hour descending... but the next flight she was fine. She was such a little trooper, sitting in a hot sticky stroller, getting lathered with sunscreen, and being totally off any sort of schedule.

Gage and Broc loved showing her how to swim and were brave swimmers (I thought Broc would turn into a fish) Macy even learned how to go down the waterside (or the bottom 3 feet of it) by herself!! Gage did lots of bodyboarding in the ocean and figured out how to ride a wave in(see pic) Broc tried too with the help of Grandpa Joe. It is always a fun trip to go on, Thanks Kory for taking naps with Macy in the room while everyone else played! Gage caught a couple crabs on the beach, one morning we even saw a sea turtle on the beach (dead) it was pretty neat though.

hope you enjoy some of the pics. Jen

Spring

Wow I cant believe it is already the middle of April... We just got back from our yearly Easter trip to the Moab area... went on some great hikes, let the kids do lots of climbing. We had a blast with Grandpa Joe, and all our Cousins. It was Macys First camping trip and she did great... had lots of fun.

Well now the countdown is on for the end of school only 31 school days left, and the count down to Puerto Vallarta on the day after school gets out. The kids are getting more excited for that every day. Macy is a very busy little girl, likes to play, and watch and laugh at the boys, Broc loves being her helper, and comes every time she yells. Gage is getting big, he also cant get enough of little Macy and the funny noises and things she does.
